We’re glad that you have got to this stage to find out a bit more of what goes on throughout our process so here’s a bit of an insight into what steps have worked best for our past projects.

After the first phone call you will meet with Jonny to discuss EVERYTHING, from the layout to optional extras.
Budgeting
Once the wish list is complete, we can work together to ensure that the essentials are retained. Making minor adjustments to keep the budget in check, so you can move onto the design phase with peace of mind that the final design will be close to estimates provided.
Estimating
Once the next set of drawings are complete, we can then send the project out to tender and obtain a more definite cost to complete the project and send the working drawings to the council for consent.
Planning
J Rive Construction will work with you through the planning stages with your architect working to transform architectural plans into your beautiful new home. It is here that we need to ensure we don’t compromise on the final product, and get things right.
Refining
Working with your chosen architect to refine the plans and details to make your home work within the parameters of your land, budget and council. While your plans are in council for consent, planning for colours, kitchen styles, landscaping and finishing touches can be started. Jonny will work through any plan changes or council requirements on your behalf. The council regulations and building code requirements can be quite bewildering so having experience and knowledge on your side makes this process smooth.
Building
Once plans are approved we can start your build. We will project manage your entire build every step of the way. Providing communication between clients, sub-trades and staff, ensuring that the build runs smoothly and timely, which is just as important to us as it is for you. You will also receive access to the Rave Build Portal; where you will have access to the build updates, schedules and progress photos.
Completion
The best part: handing you the keys of your new home. Along with the keys come, NZCB Halo Guarantee, 12 month initial guarantee and the GTEE warranty platform, an online portal where all your warranties are kept for easy access and peace of mind.
